We all know that we’re now living in a rationalized humanity, a civilization which is full of uncertainties and problems, a region which is violent and aggressive. But when we are going to unite as one?
Being a lad of God, I have a lot of accountability and duties. One of this is to help out every ilocano amalgamate. And the first step is to promote our mother language which is the Iloco.  All moves to promote the dissemination of mother tongues will serve not only to encourage linguistic diversity and multilingual education but also to develop fuller awareness of linguistic and cultural traditions throughout the world and to inspire solidarity based on understanding, tolerance and dialogue.Sometimes we have to use the mother language inside the classroom. For example, when you try to teach different types of trees or flowers. But teachers should try to get their students' agreement that overuse of their own language deprives them from the chance to learn English. So the best answer is to speak in English as much as you can.
We all know that Iloco is spoken as the main language in Ilocos Region. The students think that it is very difficult for them to learn. So I think we should use Iloco in class as soon as possible. It not only practices the students listening, but also improve their oral speaking in iloco. As an Ilocano student, we could try to use Iloco, of course when you deal with some difficult Grammar. You can use Filipino to explain it.
So as early as now, try to keep in wits that the MOTHER LANGUAGE will constantly be in our tongues and minds.AYATEN TI ILOCO!!!
